Deepwater fish are rich in omega-3, and salmon is no exception. Omega-3 is a vital nutrient for the functioning of the brain. The nutrient also contains anti-inflammatory substances. Other oily fish that supply us with the benefit of omega-3 include herring and sardines. The recommended serving is 4-once, to be taken twice or thrice a week.

Include an ounce daily of hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts, Brazil flax seeds, tahini, sesame seeds, among others. You may eat them either raw or roasted. However, if you are on a sodium-restricted diet, eat unsalted nuts only.
